Law 82 of 2002 was issued by the President of the Republic on 22 May 2002 and published in the official gazette on 22 May 2002. This Law concerning Money Laundering mainly deals with the Establishment of an independent Unit with a special nature at the Central Bank of Egypt to combat money laundering. It states Money Laundering crimes and the corresponding sanctions
