Company Law No. 22 of 1997 was established based on the Iraqi national council on 18 Aug 1997. It is the original company law, and it aims to organize public companies by establishing, managing, and liquidating them, with unified financial and administrative rules and principles in order to raise the performance levels of the national economy.
